:(

Sadly, this will be the end of my hiking blog, it's been a great 3 years, I will miss it greatly! I met so many great people while hiking, and hiked with some amazing friends! I will cherish all my hiking memories and friends! Thanks to all who made it so much fun! Especially these two awesome ladies, Michelle and Jenna!!

Mo'ole falls 1 & 2 -January 29th, 2013

This was such a great hike! Located in nuuanu valley, right across the Pali highway from lulumahu falls! We were super fortunate to have heavy rains the weekend before this hike, making the waterfalls even prettier! Look for the gate to enter when ya cross the road! Then follow the markers, there are plenty!

Michelle and I had a big group of about 8 girls, so it was definitely interesting! We started at about 8:45 am, only took like 3 hours round trip!

We got a bit lost trying to find the tunnel *note do not go up and follow the pink markers they lead to the summit I am guessing, stay ground level* should get to the tunnel in about 35-45 minutes! The tunnel is dark and usually very muddy! However my awesome boots held up even in the water, feet didn't get wet at all! Basically right after the tunnel you get to the first waterfall, from there head up and follow to the second, pass the trail marker, that'll be used to get to the third waterfall, follow the trail down to the second!

Location - Nuuanu valley
Difficulty - Easy / Intermediate
Distance - Depends on the number of falls

Makapu'u ridge - January 26th, 2013

Makapu'u ridge is located in Hawaii Kai, across from the makapu'u lookout, across the street and up the area right next to the fence that was built.

This trail leads to Waimanalo via the makapu'u tomtom trail, but we just went halfway to where the puka "hole" is located, probably about 1 1/2 - 2 miles. Very dry area, the rocks are all super pointy, and in general hurts the hands lol!

Lots of ups it seems on this hike, but the scenery is worth it, with the bonus of seeing mountain goats, of which we saw none! I was pretty sad, but whatever, the hike was great, a little sketchy in some areas, maybe to some, but overall we loved it! Could of done without the goat poop and sharp rocks!

'Aihualama falls - January 15th, 2013

I guess I'm queen of wussy hikes lately, because this was another very short waterfall located in moana valley downtown, very close to moana falls!

We parked at Lyons arboretum, and walked the short walk to the waterfall through some labeled plants and short trail, we were at the waterfall in under 30 minutes!

The waterfall is also accessible from moana falls, but the trail is slippery and confusing!

Kapalaeleele - January 8th, 2013

Definitely a short hike located in kahana state park, some location of the nakoa trail, the park offers some nice services, not sure if we actually did all the trail, we never actually located the fish shrine, who knows, I guess it's just not there anymore!

The weather was crappy otherwise we would of continued on to see what else was ahead, pu'u paia is beyond the trail

The trail was a short 1.2 miles round trip, lol, way to short, but with the weather I was ok with it!
